Designed for the extreme situation, the 4Star jockey skull is certified to the top international standards.

A technically superior helmet, the deep-fitting 4Star is the result of years of advanced computer analysis and incorporates the latest aramid fibres, which are embedded in a tough resin matrix for vastly improved crush resistance. The neat quick release buckle in a high strength alloy fastens the patented GRpx® harness system for the ultimate in stability.

The 4Star helmet also features the new Charles Owen “Free Fit” system which allows for increased airflow across the forehead. It combines a frontal air channel with a Coolmax® mesh which significantly increases cooling and evaporation of sweat. Add this to the 10 ventilation slots and the 4Star is the coolest ride yet.

Hat & Body Protection Fitting

Our fully qualified staff have years of experience fitting hats and body protectors which means that we've pretty much seen it all in terms of ages,

genders, shapes and sizes! Our staff are trained in fitting and receive regular refreshers to make sure they stay at the top of their game.

How long does it take to fit a hat or body protector?

You'll need to leave yourself some time. It regularly takes anything up an hour to find your perfect fit. It's best not to try hats if you're in a rush!

Do you charge for hat or body protector fittings?

No - but we'll only fit hats or body protectors if you're buying them there and then. The reasons for this are;

All hats and body protectors are different (even ones that are meant to be exactly the same). If we're helping you find an item of safety equipment we need to know that you're wearing the one we actually fitted.

A fitting can take a long time. We understand that you might be able to find a product we stock cheaper elsewhere but when we sell you a hat or body protector we're also providing you with a professional fitting service and offering you a commitment to ongoing care whereby we'll check your hat or body protector fitting for you, for free, at any time in the future.

When should I change my hat or body protector?

You should always replace your hat or body protector if it has suffered any sort of impact. It might look fine on the outside, but the inside could tell

quite a different story. (And this is why safety equipment is one of the few things we strongly recommend you buy new, rather than second hand). You

should also say goodbye to your hat or body protector if it’s more than a few years old because, over time, the foam padding will have deteriorated and

the safety standards might also be out of date.

WE DO NOT REFUND OR EXCHANGE ANY SAFTY ITEMS, SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE!
